IGNTD

Apr 15, 2020

This week in Sophie month, we are joined by another fantastic guest! Taryn Toomey is the founder of The Class an intuitive movement-based practice that is a transformative workout for both your body and mind. Taryn describes it as a system where you are meant to repeat one movement for an entire song, close your eyes, and notice what your mind does around the feeling in your body. Through guided instruction and powerful music, The Class invites students to witness their resistance to discomfort and ultimately challenges and enlightens you all while you build an incredibly strong, lean, and resilient body.

We loved this episode with Taryn because of her message around sitting in the discomfort and allowing yourself to really feel your feelings. There can be so much discomfort in facing our shadows and interrupting the patterns we’ve fallen into but the discomfort is key. When you sit in your feelings instead of running from them, you’re paving the path for incredible growth and transformation.

In this episode, Taryn shares her journey to discovering movement-based practice, what her work is all about, and even shares some practical tools and guidance to get started right at home!

If you want to become more embodied in your physical practice and learn how to “work in” instead of workout, you’ve got to tune in for this one!
